Child, Youth and Family are operate a therapeutic youth home in Dunedin. This home is a place of safety where young people aged between 12-17 have the opportunity to address unsafe challenging behaviours and develop life skills. The purpose is to support young people in making good life choices, strengthening family/whānau relationships, and safe reintegration back into the community.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced care worker to provide safety and care overnight for the four young people in the home. The hours of work are 10.15pm-7.15am, 4 nights per week. You do not work in isolation, another staff member is also in the home during these hours.
To be considered you will need to have previous experience working with young people with complex needs, and a passion to help young people realise their full potential.

To back this up, you'll ideally have or be working towards a relevant tertiary qualification (student applications welcome). Most of all you will need experience engaging with youth and a passion for wanting to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
