Job Description

Are you an experienced equipment manager within a logistics environment? We have an exciting opportunity for you.

As the Equipment Manager Light Vehicles, you will manage all in-service aspects regarding the NZDF light fleet of vehicles which includes the Military Support Vehicles (Light), the Light Operational Vehicles, Domestic Operational Vehicles, light trailers, quad bikes and motorcycles. This includes providing integrated logistic support and input to the capability concepts through the acquisition phase, the in-service period and the disposal phase.

We are looking for someone who has exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership skills as you will be managing three staff, along with the following key skills and attributes:
•An understanding of Integrated Logistic Support (i.e. Engineering Support, Maintenance Support, Training and Training Support, Supply Chain Management, STTE, and Safety Cases)
•Experience with project management tools, systems and methodologies
•Strong computer literacy skills, including with  SAP (inventory management and plant maintenance modules)
•Experience in vehicle fleet management is highly desirable.

The remuneration band for this position is $67,868  to $83,837, inclusive of a 4% employer superannuation contribution.

  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
