Job Description

Defence Communications Station Devonport are looking for a Technical Supervisor to manage the delivery of technical support to ensure continuous availability of all equipment and systems located at DCSD.

You will need a strong knowledge of Networking and Information Systems, Radio Communications and Change Management processes preferably within the RNZN environment.   You will be required be on call as part of a roster team outside normal working hours and travel may be required within New Zealand.

If you have a Level 4 National Certificate in Electronics and Telecommunications and have an Electronic Service Technician Practicing Licence then we would like to hear from you today.

The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:
Higher level Security Clearance
  • most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
