Our Organisation is currently looking for a Senior End User Device Engineer to join our ICT Operations team.

Reporting to the Manager End User Services, this role will provide second and third level operational support of End User devices (i.e. workstations, laptops, tablets, mobile and satellite phones) and technical integration with other devices (e.g. Printers, Routers, Switches).

The role will effectively manage and administer day-to-day operation and control of End User Devices ensuring the reliability, security, Integrity and cost effectiveness of Housing New Zealand's End User Device Environment.

The role will lead the design and development of medium to high complexity ICT infrastructure components (i.e. standard images, application packaging, desktop patching) for End User Support to meet business and technical requirements.

This position may require some work outside normal business hours 

Our ideal person will have:

  • 3 - 5 years of related experience working in an End User Device service and support role
  • Demonstrated excellent customer support skills
  • Design and build of standard images for End User Devices and mobile devices
  • Design, build and test of packaged applications. Microsoft Windows Operating System (7, 8, 10), Apple IOS and Android OS, ITIL Foundation Certified
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies, Microsoft SCCM
  • Mobile Device Management (Citrix)
  • Hardware and LAN troubleshooting experience, including network cabling and patching, routers, WIFI setup and administration
  • Technical understanding of mobile computing devices including the development, management, and distribution of those devices
  • ITIL V3 experience with understanding of Incident, Change, Problem, Asset and Configuration management
  • Application compatibility remediation techniques, packaging and scripting techniques.
