Job Description

Reporting to the Team Leader Applications and Support, we are seeking the expertise of a Functional Support Analyst to provide seamless services for our internal and external customers.

The Functional Support Analyst will provide Level 2 support and application administration functions for the Oracle EBS and/or Northgate Social Housing application and will be responsible for resolving user issues, completing application administration tasks and managing the handoff to Level 3 support which is provided by the specialist external partners.

We are seeking to strike a balance between specialisation i.e. a specific analyst becoming an expert in a certain area of the solution portfolio e.g. Assets and the ability to provide broad coverage across the solution portfolio.

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Relevant tertiary qualification is required, Oracle based applications industry qualification and ITIL are desirable
  • At least three years experience working with or supporting Oracle EBS version 11i or 12 and/or Northgate Social Housing or equivalent significant Oracle based COTS Application
  • Ideally experience of multiple Oracle modules gained in a range of functional roles
  • Strong skills in information systems with in depth knowledge of at least one module of the systems supported. Able to provide end-user support across most commonly used areas of the system
  • High level customer and stakeholder management skills with the ability to identify analyse generate and recommend a range of effective solutions to meet needs
  • Intermediate level SQL and PL/SQL skills
  • The ability to deal with complex issues and to think "outside the box" when determining solutions to problems
  • Ability to present ideas, information and advice, orally and in writing, in a way that is understandable and acceptable to a range of audiences
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Is able to work effectively with a wide range of people including - manager and staff from teams, external consultants/contractors, external partners and other external stakeholders
  • Experience of working in an outsourced service delivery environment.
