User Experience Researcher (18 months fixed term)
Te Papa is building a team to design and deliver world leading, accessible, sustainable and delightful digital experiences, products and services that Te Papa’s customers love – both inside the museum and beyond its walls.
Our new appointees will be working within cross-functional teams from around Te Papa using lean and agile development techniques and audience centric and data driven approaches to build and evolve scalable, robust and innovative digital products.
In this position you will inform the conceptual and production stages of digital products, guiding the wider team in setting user research requirements, leading data collection and user testing, and interpreting and reporting on key visitor behaviours and needs.
You will be naturally curious about people’s behaviour and how they interact with the digital world. You’ll be a keen observer who picks up on what others might miss and will be in touch with current and emerging digital trends and platforms.
You will have 4+ years’ experience in a User Research role, along with a bachelor’s degree (preferably in design, communications or psychology) or equivalent experience in business analysis or project management.
