MP Support to Hon Louise Upston
We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen working for Parliamentary Service based in the Cambridge out of Parliament office of Hon Louise Upston. This position offers variety and insight into New Zealand's political process and will allow you to use your political nous and personable nature in a role that's varied, energised, and rewarding.
You will provide high quality support to Hon Louise Upston in continuing the development of community engagement and outreach by building strong connections and networks. A large component of your role will be to arrange visits and events in and around the community. The other focus will be to manage newsletters and update the website, as well as manage the budgeting and finance.
Your attention to detail, resilience and unflappable personality along with time management skills will be crucial to this role.
Parliamentary Service is focused on excellence and innovation. These fast-paced roles require organised candidates who have previous experience along with excellent written and oral communication skills and proficiency with computers and technology.
This role is for 20 hours per week. Greater flexibility in hours may be required, particularly when the minister is out and about in the electorate.
This is an events-based, fixed-term role linked to the term of the Member of Parliament.
Please note: Interviews for this position will be conducted on the 19th of December with the role to start in the New Year.
