Job Description

The Canterbury District Health Board, based in Christchurch, is considered a world leader in its people centred approach to health care and has been modelled by health organisations internationally. We're a tertiary provider of hospital and specialist services, committed to providing the best health care possible to the people of Canterbury and other DHBs where more specialised services are unavailable.

The CDHB is the largest employer in the South Island with over 9000 employees and one of the biggest District Health Boards in New Zealand spanning across fourteen hospitals from Kaikoura in the north to Ashburton in the south. We are the main provider and funder of health services in Canterbury!

Our supportive team is on the search for registered Anaesthetic Technicians to join us in our mission of providing a quality health care service. Because of our size, a career with us means you'll be exposed to a diversity of cases allowing you to maintain a wide range of skills, including working with acute/trauma patients. As a recognised teaching hospital you will be exposed to teaching and training, and support of our trainee Anaesthetic Technicians.

There is a lot of exciting change happening at the CDHB, with a new acute services campus being built at Christchurch Public Hospital, complete with new operating theatres, and a new campus being built at Burwood Hospital.
