A new and exciting opportunity has come about for a motivated Interpreter Co-ordinator in the Refugee unit with the Settlement, Protection and Attraction group of Immigration New Zealand. As Interpreter Co-ordinator you will contribute to the operations of the Refugee Unit by managing interpreter enrolment, induction and complaints; scheduling interviews; and arranging translations. 


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills including sound written skills
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new information and areas of work
  • Data entry skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage a range of support functions
  • Working without supervision managing and organising fluctuating workloads in sometimes stressful situations
  • Good appreciation of quality service delivery and excellent organising ability
  • Ability to deliver in strict timeframes
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
