Emergency Management and Facilities Coordinator

Full time – six months fixed term - Wellington

If you are an enthusiastic and dedicated emergency management and/or facilities professional, we offer an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of New Zealand's cultural and heritage sector.

Manatū Taonga – the Ministry for Culture and Heritage – is a small Ministry with approximately 115 staff based at the historic Public Trust building in central Wellington. We operate a lean and flat structure although our mandate and reach is wide. We pride ourselves on our agility and our open, collaborative and supportive culture and high levels of engagement.

This is a fixed term position reporting to the Group Manager Corporate Services, and will be responsible for:

  • reviewing, updating and implementing the Ministry’s policies and procedures for emergency management and business continuity planning
  • co-ordinating accommodation and facilities services across the Ministry.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience with emergency management principles and practices
  • Experience in business continuity planning
  • Experience in facilities management
  • Skills in preparing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Sound written and oral communication skills
