Department of Conservation
Science and Environment
Are you an experienced recreational professional looking to provide solutions to national level issues? Do you have a passion for getting more people into the great outdoors and the lateral thinking to make it happen?
If so, The Department of Conservation would like to hear from you.
An opportunity has arisen from parental leave for an experienced recreational planner to join our team for a year. You’ll be able to hit the ground running, and help us to connect more kiwis to public conservation land.
As well as a background in recreation management, we are looking for a creative and strategic thinker who knows how to get the job done in a complex environment.
The work will be fast paced, dynamic, and challenging. You will work in a variety of project teams, with a focus of engaging with our internal customers and external stakeholders, and using that to shape the work. Additionally, you’ll also support the project manager to deliver against project milestones.
