Registered Nurse/Allied Health Professional - Fixed Term, Full Time

The Canterbury District Health Board is committed to the provision of high quality health care services that are safe, integrated, and responsive to the needs of the community.

We are seeking a suitably qualified Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional who holds or is actively working towards a relevant Post Graduate Diploma and has at least three years' experience working in Specialist Mental Health, to cover a fixed term parental leave as the Clinical Manager Quality and Patient Safety Team - SMHS

Taking a 'whole of health system' approach in partnership with the clinical leads and management you will work to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care for consumers. Working closely with the SMHS quality manager, you will manage the cohesive functioning of the Quality and Patient Safety team (Q&PS team). Your key tasks are to actively promote quality, risk and patient safety programmes whilst coordinating quality improvement and clinical risk management activities throughout the service. Reporting to the SMHS Quality Manager you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the ongoing development and implementation of effective systems that are dynamic and evolving to reflect the ever changing health needs.

Strong analysis and report writing skills and the ability to present with confidence and credibility to senior leaders within the SMHS will be required.

A quality management qualification as well as project management experience is desirable although not essential. This is an exciting role that will provide you with challenge, growth, and the opportunity to positively influence the delivery of mental health services.
