The Application Specialist supports internal and external users of Land Information New Zealand’s (LINZ’s) Landonline system. Landonline is the transaction centre for property professionals and local councils to carry out land dealings efficiently and securely online. This includes the national database of property ownership and the official records of land boundary surveys.
Your key responsibility is to solve difficult technical requests from Landonline users that cannot be resolved directly by our call centre staff. This involves analysing written material and fully understanding what is going on in the system. You must be able to communicate with software developers.
You are likely to have had experience as an external Landonline user (e-dealing); or alternatively relevant experience within LINZ, for example a Property Rights Analyst – Titles.
You will help gather and prioritise user requirements. You will assist with detailed design for system changes, and then work with our IT provider to deliver a solution and do functional testing.
LINZ is looking to upgrade ‘Landonline’ and you will provide expertise to that project too. This includes feeding in what current system business rules are and what a new system could do similarly or better.
