We’re the government’s multi award winning, future focused, team dedicated to helping NZ small business. Part of MBIE, we work with New Zealand’s top creative and design-minds to make working with government easier for small business.
The senior stakeholder advisor’s job is to build relationships with government agency stakeholders e.g. IR and ACC – so that our team (including our content design partner) can explain their information in a way small business will understand. We package all this information on our website at business.govt.nz.
You’ll inspire stakeholders’ support by understanding their needs, and capturing the detail. You’ll make informed decisions, lead work programmes, and identify opportunities for win-wins. Your hard work will help make the complex simple and achieve MBIE’s goal to Grow NZ for all.
You’ll need experience building and managing relationships by understanding and inspiring people. You may have experience as an account or relationship manager, or stakeholder advisor.
You must also be able to articulate yourself confidently and clearly in writing and in conversation – and have had lots of practise at it. Probably you’ll have a relevant degree which helped you develop these skills.
Finally, you’ll be comfortable thinking of a better way to do things: you’ll genuinely enjoy the challenge of making life easier for small businesses.
