Victoria University is looking for a web content specialist with a passion for writing for the web.
You will have hands-on web skills and be confident working with a large-scale content management system. Terms like usability, accessibility and best practice won’t just be buzzwords but define the way you think and write. You can expect opportunities to take ownership for the timely delivery of content and at times for the delivery of clearly defined projects.
You will have had at least four years’ web content experience and will be looking for greater challenges and opportunities to expand your horizons. Writing audience-focused content comes naturally to you. You will have a track record of maintaining strong relationships inside and outside of your team. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and possibly have some experience managing web projects.
Ideally, you will have hands on experience with web analytics and search engine optimisation. Previous work in training or supporting non-specialist staff using the web would also be helpful.
Most of all, you will bring with you an absolute passion for the web content and all things digital. In return, we can provide challenges and opportunities, a supportive team environment, and a career-defining role.
This is an important role in the web team which contributes to the University’s wider communications and marketing activities.
Victoria’s Communications and Marketing Group leads the University’s internal and external marketing, communications, websites, alumni relations, publishing and events initiatives. The group communicates with more than 2,000 staff, 22,000 current students, more than 60,000 alumni and a diverse range of external stakeholders including prospective students.
This is a permanent full-time position.
You must have a good level of English and be eligible to work in New Zealand to apply for this role.
For further information about this role, please contact David Archibald, Web Manager, on 04 463 6941 or email email@example.com
Applications close 9am Friday, 9 December 2016.
