Victoria University of Wellington is looking for a Senior Communications and Marketing Adviser - Student and Campus Living to support Victoria's commitment to providing an outstanding student experience.

This is a new role, which will be responsible for assisting with internal and external communications for all areas of the Student and Campus Living portfolio. This includes Victoria Accommodation, Victoria Recreation, Victoria Kids and our Campus Care and Campus Safety teams. Working closely with the Director of Student and Campus Living, you will develop and implement a strategy that focuses on fostering a sense of community and belonging in a safe and supportive environment for the 22,000 students studying at Victoria.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organisation that is focused on providing a student experience that is second-to-none and is in a period of growth and expansion. You will also be working with a team of communications and marketing professionals who are experts in developing a range of communications, written and digital material and use a variety of channels to engage with key audiences.

To be successful in this role, you will be a communications and marketing professional with experience in generating and managing content for multiple channels, the ability to build effective relationships, to understand complex issues and knowledge of working on strategic projects.

Victoria offers an interesting, fast-paced and challenging working environment and you will be part of a supportive team. This role is based in the Student and Campus Living directorate but will maintain relationships with a number of key groups within the University, and will report to the Communications Manager.

This role is part of the University's wider Communications and Marketing Group. The Group leads the University's internal and external communications, marketing, engagement, websites, alumni relations, publishing and events initiatives. The Group communicates with more than 2,500 staff, 22,000 students, more than 60,000 alumni and a diverse range of external stakeholders.
