New Zealand Police is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our payroll team, based at Police National Headquarters in Wellington.

 

The Payroll Team are in an exciting phase during a key period of change and are one of the critical business units playing a lead role in helping New Zealand Police with the embedding of our  new HRMIS system, MyPolice. 

 

We are looking for applicants with passion and drive to join our dynamic and experienced payroll team.  The payroll teams' primary objective is to ensure all New Zealand Police employees (12,000+) are paid accurately and on time.  

 

You will have:

 

  • A thorough background in New Zealand payroll processing (minimum of two years' experience)
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of all relevant payroll related legislation including, but not limited to, the Holidays Act, the Wages Protection Act and the Privacy Act.
  • An analytical mind-set with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A customer service ethos

 

You will be able to provide examples demonstrating how you meet our competencies* of:
