Injury Prevention Transition Manager Regions 18 month fixed term; closes 10-01-2018

About the Injury Prevention Transition Manager role:

The purpose of this 18-month fixed term role is to lead the design, development and implementation of all transitional activities critical for the success of the Regional Injury Prevention team. As an experienced change manager, you will work with management to ensure that capabilities, systems, tools, policies and processes necessary for the success of the Regional Injury Prevention team are effectively implemented and embedded.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensure that the regional Injury Prevention team is set up and supported to deliver on Injury Prevention requirements and targets

Contribute to the development and delivery of a coordinated monitoring and evaluation framework (and any associated performance reporting) and ensure that these frameworks are successfully embedded within the team and the wider Injury Prevention community

Contribute to the design and development of stakeholder and partnership management tools and ensure that these are successfully embedded within the team and the wider Injury Prevention community

Ensure that appropriate methodologies and practices are established and successfully embedded within the team and the wider Injury Prevention community

·         Help design and deliver Injury Prevention training and capability uplift of staff in the team

·         Identify challenges for the team as a result of change activity and work with management to develop approaches / plans to manage these challenges

·         Ensure significant risks and issues to the effectiveness of the team are identified at the earliest possible opportunity and solutions are identified, developed and implemented

·         Develop strategic relationships across ACC business units that ensure initiatives are embedded successfully.


Successful candidates will possess the following knowledge, experience, qualifications and skills:

  • Significant experience building, maintaining and influencing through strong collaborative relationships, with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of successfully using change management approaches and methodologies in complex environments at a project level
  • Tertiary qualification in change management, communications or business, working experience to equivalent level will be considered
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • High level of interpersonal and networking skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Politically savvy and an understanding of the machinery of government and ACC’s legislative landscape
  • Self-management including the ability to manage own time, identify and manage competing priorities and demonstrate good problem solving skills
  • Able to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Please note that interviews for this role will be held on 24th January 2018.
