Job Description

We are looking for a talented HR Business Partner who can drive positive change through exceptional communication and influencing skills, persistence and collaboration.

You will be adaptable and comfortable working in a small team. Reporting to the Lead Business Partner,  you will be a trusted advisor providing strategic and operational guidance and support on the full spectrum of HR.

You will be skilled in bulding and maintaining strong relationships across the business and quickly building credibility with managers and staff. You will ensure HR initiatives are enabling MfE to meet the wider strategic goals of the organisation.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in providing HR advice business partner level, preferably in a government department
  • Good generalist base of experience spanning performance management, remuneration, health safety and wellbeing.
  • Ability to partner effectively with leaders, establishing credibility and of influence, being comfortable challenging the status quo, being risk aware rather than risk adverse
  • Contemporary knowledge and expertise in people and culture

The successful candidate will take a proactive approach to building relationships, have a strong customer focus and an ability to deliver credible solutions in a complex environment.

Along with holding the relevant tertiary qualifications, you will enjoy a challenge, be resilient, confident, and motivated. 

 You will be based in Environment House in Wellington, so nice and close to the trains and buses for commuting.
