Job Description

Customer insight analyst and data translator urgently required!

We're looking for someone who is passionate about turning data into meaningful insights, and are even more passionate about championing the voice of the customer.

  • Analyse customer and marketing behaviours in a cross agency, cross disciplinary environment
  • Unearth insights from data and research and turn them into opportunities that have the ability to affect real change

  • Get your ‘hands dirty' in a varied role analysing data one day, then translating and presenting insights the next.
  • 2 year Fixed Term opportunity

About the role:

In this role you will be directly involved in the analysis of customer and customer research data to generate insights and communicate them to key stakeholders. You'll help to identify new and innovative opportunities and maintain strong strategic grounding to drive customer outcomes. You'll also have the opportunity to design and develop tools and/or models to support improved insight development – e.g. customer segmentation, forecasts and predictive models.

Skills and experience required:

  • A passion for understanding the challenges NZ businesses face and identifying ways to improve the customer experience with government
  • Understanding of and analytical experience with research processes, research data and interpretation
  • Previous experience with Business Intelligence/Data visualisation software – e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Business Objects or similar
  • Intermediate or advanced SAS and/or SPSS experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, with some knowledge of database management, SQL and/or similar technical expertise
  • A strategic marketing background is preferred
