As a psychologist with our Clinical Services Team you will work closely with Health, Education, Police and community providers to support social workers, Tamariki, Rangatahi and whanau throughout the Bay.  You will do this by providing a diverse range of services to six Oranga Tamariki sites in this region and be undertaking child assessments, treatment of psychological trauma and supporting at times the forensic process.  Some planned travel will be required and you will run consultation clinics with social workers and complete specialist assessments of parenting capacity. Practical experience working with children, young people and their families is essential to success in this role.  The diversity of this role provides the flexibility to use different evidence based models and intervention tools to achieve positive outcomes for Tamariki, their whanau and community.
