Job Description

The Biodiversity Group is seeking to appoint a Ministerial Correspondence Writer on a fixed term or secondment basis until end of July 2018.  The successful appointee will act as the central collator and writer for Ministerial responses to correspondence and Official Information Act requests.

 

The role will cover all Units in the Group; Threats, Terrestrial Ecosystems, Aquatic, Planning and Support, and Predator Free 2050. Therefore, you will need to have, or be able to build, good relationships across all the different business units.  The position will report to the Director Threats.

 

Competencies required are:

  • excellent writing, editing and communication skills
  • ability to network

  • enjoys attention to detail
  • ability to perform the role with accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

Experience working with the OIA and/or Ministerial correspondence is preferred but not essential.
