This role of File Management Support Officer based at Counties Manukau East is to provide administrative support and telephony services. This includes front counter, data entry, typing, process and movement of files and provide an excellent customer service to the public. The role requires the use of various Police and standard computer programs. It is a 0800-1600 Monday to Friday roster. Training will be provided.

 

Skills - You will be able to:

  • Enter, update and report on high volume files/documents/data entry processes
  • Prioritise workflows
  • Manage time effectively to complete multiple files and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
  • Prepare correspondence for internal and external agencies
  • Conduct appropriate enquiries in respect of files for Official information and Privacy Act

 

Experience - You must:

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and application of computer based records, file management and Microsoft office systems
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data entry, time management and an ability to prioritise workload.
  • Demonstrate customer service skills and an ability to work in a team environment

Special Requirements:

  • All shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo a typing test, with a minimum typing speed of 35 wpm
  • The successful applicant must be flexible to work at Ormiston, Howick and Beachlands Police Stations as required
