Job Description

Senior Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly competent Senior Administrator to join our Executive Services Team, which sits within Organisational Performance and Reporting in Corporate Services.

The Senior Administrator will work closely with the Senior Adviser to provide secretariat support to the Department's governance boards, including its weekly Executive Leadership Group meetings.  Our work supports the smooth running of the board meetings and the Department's governance arrangements, so it's important we get things right.

The Senior Administrator will be responsible for all aspects relating to the production of meeting packs including the collation of meeting papers, loading the final papers on to an online meeting paper portal and the production of hardcopy papers.  You will need to be comfortable liaising across the organisation to gather papers and share information, able to follow our processes down to dotting the Is and crossing the Ts, but also able to spot errors or areas for improvement.  We will give you the directions, and then you'll be responsible for following through.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, because you'll need to hit the ground running.
  • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, which you'll use every day.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to self-manage and multi task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to help you make connections across the organisation and to quality check documentation.
  • A high level of innovation and strong problem solving skills.
  • The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

To be successful in this role you will be highly organised, have a positive, can do attitude, strong relationship management skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
