About the role:

The Policy and Organisational Strategy Group guides Oranga Tamariki's performance, outcomes and investment focus to ensure better outcomes are delivered for children and young people. The Senior Analyst Research & Evaluation role contributes for building an evidence-informed learning organisation, by developing an evidence-base for effective services.

As Senior Analyst Research & Evaluation you will be responsible for leading evaluation or research projects through all stages of the process - from design, through to data capture, analysis and effective dissemination of results. The roles require people who are strong relationship managers, provide leadership in the research and evaluation arena and above all are team players who will look for opportunities to add value in the work that we do.


Skills and experience:

  • Experience in leading evaluation or research projects including all stages of the.
  • Strong theoretical grounding in quantitative and/or qualitative methods
  • Practical experience of applying mixed methods design in evaluation or research.
  • Practical experience in conducting Randomised Control Trials is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in presenting to a variety of audiences
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
