The award-winning Marketing & Communications team here at IR creates clever communications programmes addressing areas such as social support, tax refunds, policy change, and NZ Student Loans.  Your reach could include NZ individuals, tax agencies, as well as local or international businesses going about their day-to-day business.

 

About the role

 

As a senior member of the marketing team, you'll play a key role in:

 

  • Understanding and, importantly, delivering complex customer communications plans. Delivering technical communications to customer groups simply and creatively; you're able to interpret complex public sector information, and articulate the message simply to your audience. This could involve enactment of policy, or department communications.
  • Bouncing ideas, sharing thoughts, and providing feedback with the team. Your wealth of experience brings insight and perspective; your curiosity asks how we can explore the options, or try another approach to get the desired outcome.
  • Influencing and connecting across IR.  You'll be a key internal contact for groups needing to engage with customers, which means you'll be working with the broader Marketing & Communications group, as well as with Customer Segment SME's and leads.

 

What you'll need to bring to the role

 

  • Proven experience in successfully delivering the full lifecycle of communications plans. Your plans are well thought out, and show rigour in the detail.
  • Proficiency in influencing behaviour across a range of segments. This role is strongly customer-centric, so you need to know and understand the best approach to achieve the ideal outcome.
  • The ability to work at pace, and a genuine delight in what you do.
  • Previous experience working within a Communications or Marketing team in a large, complex organisation is highly advantageous.
