Senior Internal Auditor

You will possess

  • Professional qualifications, such as CIA/CA/ CISA etc (preferred)
  • At least five years' experience in Internal Audit
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and communicate well with different audiences
  • Expert report writing skills
  • A willingness to travel around NZ (full drivers licence required).

The Department has a sole focus – to break the cycle of re-offending.  Our audit programme aligns with this goal and supports our frontline staff to change lives and shape futures. The role also provides a real opportunity to apply your experience to support, coach and mentor others in the team.  

As a Senior Internal Auditor you need to be able to tackle a wide variety of audits, in challenging environments that will take you beyond corporate functions to frontline services. You will also play an integral part in the ongoing assurance maturity and continuous improvement of the Internal Audit team and business groups across the Department.
