Frontline Station Support Officer

New Zealand Police

Waikato

Permanent, shift work

Remuneration range: $48,188.00 - $65,197.00

The role of SSO provides operational and administrative support to Police which includes, but is not limited to, front counter customer service, data entry, use of Police systems, financial support, typing and file management support officer duties.  You will be part of a team and based in an open plan area visible to members of the public.  Shift work is required on a roster encompassing seven days a week, with hours between 7am and 9pm.   Training will be provided to the successful applicant where required.

  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all information and decisions.
  • Manage competing demands and high workload at times.
  • Adapt style or approach to the individual and situation.

 

Experiences:

  • Demonstrate customer service skills and an ability to work in a high-pressure team environment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and application of computer-based record, file management and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data entry, typing, and transcription.

Special Requirements:

  • All shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo a typing test with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute required.
