Health and Disability Coordinator – Rotorua, covers Bay of Plenty region

Permanent, Full Time (37.55 hours per week)

Job reference number: 23231

Our regional Health and Disability Team are looking for a coordinator to join their team. Although primarily based at our Rotorua Regional Office, this role requires regular travel as it supports our Bay of Plenty region.

As a Health and Disability Co-ordinator you will support our work to achieve employment outcomes for clients living with health and disability conditions. This requires you to build strong working relationships with GP practices and health and disability providers across the region. Your outstanding relationship and network skills will strengthen Work and Income's relationships, as well as provide medical practitioners with clear understanding of how we can jointly support clients who have capacity to work to move into employment at the earliest opportunity. The role also requires high level project management skills to support the roll-out of regional initiatives.

An understanding of the health system, particularly how medical centres operate, would be an advantage. It is equally important that you are able to represent the range of MSD supports and services available to clients. As part of the Regional Health and Disability Team you will bring your industry expertise and commitment to client service.

We are looking for a professional and motivated individual who can demonstrate:

  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to build rapport, relate to, contribute and work collaboratively with front-line service delivery staff
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and experience
  • Proven project management skills
  • The ability to engage and quickly build rapport with people from varied and diverse backgrounds
  • A thorough knowledge of Work and Income products and services with a particular focus on clients living with health and disability issues
  • Able to travel to fulfil job requirements.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive orientation
  • Supportive and dedicated team
  • Regular coaching and career development opportunities
  • Salary range $45,773 to $62,938 per annum (in line with skills and experience).

How to apply

Please apply online with your CV and cover letter. In your cover letter outline how your skills and experience relate to the key attributes in the position description.

If you currently work for MSD please apply through your myHR careers portal at work so your application connects to your employee record.
