Care Worker - Part Time Christchurch



Supervised Group Homes accommodate and work with young people aged 10 - 18 with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Each home cares for up to four young people and delivers an intensive behavioural change programme.



We are looking for positive role models to work with our young people, helping them turn their lives around. To help them achieve this, our care workers, as part of a team, provide daily care and support. They get involved assisting our young people to re-engage with school/vocation, attending appointments, having visits with their family, connecting with peers, and managing themselves within the home. 


For these important positions we are seeking people who:

  • have a passion for working with youth and have relevant experience
  • are excellent communicators, both verbal and written
  • are able to make sound judgment calls with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • are physically active and will enjoy participating in activities with young people
  • have a positive attitude and is enthusiastic about their work
  • hold a current full New Zealand driving license.


This role is permanent part-time position for weekends only 16 hour on Saturday and Sunday 7am – 3.30pm.


Salary range for this position is $34 261 – $43 437
