Type: Permanent
Hours: Part time

Salary: $40,765 - $55,152 (pro-rata)

Working within the Community Operations Group you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders. That's because we not only administer grant funding but provide information, resources and advice to ensure communities are resilient and achieve their aspirations.

As the Support Officer you will be required to bring your exceptional administration, planning, time management and organisational skills to support the regional team in Palmerston North. You will also need to have great customer service skills as you will be dealing directly with customers by phone, email and in person regarding a wide range of enquiries.

This role is full of variety and your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Coordinating team activities and booking meetings, travel and catering arrangements, preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Monitoring the vehicle fleet, including monitoring and organising maintenance.
  • Supporting customers to submit grant funding requests and additional information using an online system.
  • Processing grant payments and customer results reports.
  • Processing and managing purchase orders, invoices, expense claim forms and monthly reporting.
  • Health & Safety checks and reporting

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in an administrative position and supporting a team to function seamlessly
  • Ability to establish and build strong working relationships
  • Can-do attitude and an excellent eye for detail
  • Good communication skills including sound written skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a range of support functions
  • An  approachable manner, be innovative and  have excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of, or ability to learn, grant funding processes and guidelines
  • Proficiency working with financial systems and processes
  • Proven ability in the use of Microsoft Office including; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
