Customer Services Officer, Contact Centre - Wellington

Are you interested in starting work in the afternoon-evening?

Our Wellington Centre has permanent or fixed term positions, with full time or part time hours available. Shifts must finish at 10pm.

  • Shifts run between Mondays and Fridays from 1:45 p.m. until 10:15 p.m.

A minimum commitment of 20 hours per week is required.  Specific days and hours will be agreed by negotiation with successful candidates.

Our inbound Contact Centre supports customers by phone and email with some of life's major events. You will need to help our customers with information, applications and registrations of births, deaths, marriages and civil unions, and New Zealand passports and citizenship.

There is an increasing demand and provision for online services. Our customers have varying degrees of comfort in working with computers we need people who are patient, and have adaptable communication skills.

We can teach you how to use our systems and tools. All you need to bring a great attitude, excellent communication skills and an ability and willingness to learn.

It is also essential that all applicants have:

  • New Zealand Citizenship (Not New Zealand Permanent Residency or a Work Visa)
  • The ability to attain and maintain a satisfactory security clearance
