Job Description

Processing Officers (Permanent) International Services

Permanent opportunities – based in Willis Street (Kordia House)

International Services is a specialist unit within Centralised Services. International Services is responsible for the administration of New Zealand's Social Security Agreements and Portability/Special portability arrangements.  We provide policy advice and benefit assistance for people wishing to reside overseas, those already living overseas and those moving to New Zealand from an overseas country.

The Processing Officer (PO) role is to deliver high quality assessment and processing of straightforward work within International Services. This includes administering the process for testing client entitlements to overseas pensions (including assisting clients to complete overseas forms), processing of bulk mail and simple electronic work and supporting the effective management of centralised processes across Centralised Services.  The PO will be responsible for screening clients and collating overseas pension information for our Customer Service Officers (CSO) to review and maintain.

We are looking for people who have excellent client service skills, can problem solve complex client situations, have good time management, and a high level of both written and verbal communication skills.  We want you to be target oriented, have initiative; self manage, work well under pressure and meet timeframes.  Most importantly you will need to adapt and accept change as a positive challenge, while working well in a team environment.

The starting salary for this role is from $42,132, dependant on skills and experience.
