Manager Planning and Analysis


  • Manager, Planning and Analysis managing a team of Senior Business Analysts that are distributed across New Zealand in 11 regions focused on regional performance and analysis
  • Manager Planning and Analysis managing a team of (primarily wellington based) analysts

As Manager, you will lead a team of Analysts within the Planning and Analysis unit, providing day to day leadership and work programme management. This is a key leadership role where you'll work collaboratively with key stakeholders within Service Delivery and across MSD.

You'll be responsible for contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of Service Delivery's strategic plans and providing advice on operational policies and practices. The Manager will undertake research and analysis on a variety of business improvements while supporting these activities across the wider team.

The Manager needs a responsive, resilient and pragmatic approach.

Key attributes we are looking for:

  • Strong people leadership experience, skilled in building and supporting efficient, high-performing teams
  • Proven experience in the interpretation of statistical and information data and the ability to draw evidence based conclusions
  • Knowledge and experience with quality assurance practices
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering robust solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement 
  • Willingness to travel
