Senior Communications and Stakeholder Advisor

Stats NZ is looking for a senior communications advisor to join a vibrant and exciting organisation focused on unleashing the power of data to deliver economic and social prosperity for New Zealand. 

This highly strategic role is a great opportunity for a communications specialist with an interest in stakeholder engagement, marketing and brand development to lead the charge to maximise data use in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. You will partner and enable data driven innovation for government, business, Maori, and NGOs.

As Senior Advisor you will work closely with our chief executive, who is the Government Statistician, and support the executive team to achieve its goal of empowering decisions by adding value to New Zealand's most important data. You will be a great writer, big picture thinker, understand the power of social media and maybe even a mind reader.

As part of the Strategic Communications team you will have to be able to effectively communicate with our broad range of stakeholders, as well as provide support in more of a generalist capacity as need requires.
