We need a person who understands innovation and modern business practices. You will have a strong commercial acumen and will be able to identify opportunities for the transfer of NZDF intellectual property to other organisations, particularly the private sector. You will in essence be unlocking the intellectual property and innovation within NZDF.

With a strategic focus you will develop an in-depth knowledge of the science and technology projects and outputs across the Defence Technology Agency; ultimately understanding the nature and breadth of NZDF innovation.

Ideally you will have experience in technology transfer/commercialisation in a science and technology focussed environment. A post-graduate degree in an applicable engineering or science discipline combined with a project and contract management qualification is desired.
