Job Description

  • Are you a Veterinarian looking for an opportunity in the export meat industry?
  • Are you looking for great career development opportunities?

The Team Manager Establishment for Whanganui is looking for a Veterinarian to join the team.

ANZCO Foods Eltham is a large bovine-only export slaughter and boning operation located in the Taranaki region. The premises processes both adult bovine and bobby calves and operates on two shifts throughout most of the year. At peak production during the bobby season the premises can operate up to seven days per week.

The current MPI Veterinary Service team on site consists of three veterinarians. The successful applicant may also be required to relieve at other premises within reasonable travel distance when the Eltham roster does not utilise all the veterinarians.

This position would be well suited to a veterinarian that is new to the export meat industry. The successful applicant will be joining a team of experienced veterinarians with a depth of knowledge of the industry and a keen interest in developing and mentoring new staff.

Taranaki is a family orientated, friendly region that is well serviced and within easy reach of popular recreational surf beaches and weekend holiday hotspots such as Opunake and Oakura. The region is home to Mount Taranaki, which offers a huge range of outdoor activities, from strolls through native forests and multi-day hikes, to river rafting and winter snow sports. When it's time for something a little less energetic, take a short drive to New Plymouth and you'll discover great local shopping, cafes, restaurants and award-winning festivals, museums and galleries.

If this sounds like you we want to hear from you!
