Frontline Station Support Officer

New Zealand Police

Levin

Fixed Term – 6 & 12 months (Part Time/2 positions)

Remuneration range: $46,336.00 - $62,689.00

Horowhenua Police are looking for motivated and dynamic problem solvers to fill 2 part time Frontline Support Officer roles based at Levin Police Station.

 

Please note one position is a .4FTE vacancy on a 12 month fixed term contract (16hrs per week). The second position is a .5FTE vacancy on a 6 month fixed term contract (20hrs a week).

 

Frontline Support Officers are an integral part of the police team and your role will be to provide administrative support to frontline police officers, exhibit management, data entry, the use of police computer systems and providing quality customer service at the station public counter.

You will need to be adaptable and able to change tasks at short notice. This is a demanding role at a busy station so a team player who shows initiative is essential. 

 

Skills - you will be able to:

  • Enter, update and report on high-volume files/documents/data entry processes
  • Identify problems, generate solutions and make decisions
  • Manage time effectively to complete multiple files and meet deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Carry out public counter duties in the Watch house

Experience - you will have:

  • Experience in delivering quality customer service
  • Extensive experience in the use of computer applications (previous experience in the use of Police computer systems would be an advantage)

 

Special Requirements
