Job Description

Are you a talented Senior Software Developer who can help lift our capability and drive us forward?

Corporate and Shared Services (CSS) is a business unit of the Treasury that provides corporate services to the three central agencies: the Treasury, SSC and the DPMC. Within IT, our Applications Team designs, develops and maintains software-based solutions ranging from web applications, databases to desktop applications.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Software Developer, you will work on a range of projects including the Government Budget Management System, workflow systems and web-based application development. You will have the opportunity to work across the entire software lifecycle and you will not just write well-structured code but you will be relied upon to lead engagement with the business to fully understand their needs, figure out what needs to be done and make it happen.

About You

As a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with 5+ years' experience, you have a great ability to code smart, quick and clean and you have the ability to enable others around you to write better code. You will bring great technical know-how, the essential soft-skills and the ability to understand project requirements and deliver on them in a team environment.

  • Speak our language - .NET and C#, MVC, ASP.NET, Entity Framework
  • Understand data - SQL Server
  • Experienced with Agile project management concepts
  • You love problem solving and have the skills (for in-depth analysis for complex problems), including research, analysis, evaluating alternatives, and creativity
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead the conversation on technical change
  • A proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, including understanding the motivations and the ability to influence and persuade
  • The ability to coach, mentor and develop junior developers
  • Drive innovation, have a continuous improvement focus and you enjoy keeping pace with evolving technologies
