Job Description

Reporting to the Principal Rural Fire Officer (PRFO), you will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support services to the District and our volunteer Stations in an effective and timely manner.

Duties will include but is not limited to:

  • assist the District/Areas to meet their legislative and organisational requirements to ensure stations remain operationally ready
  • provide administration, training and ICT support to Stations
  • coordinate and undertake logistics activities for the District/Areas and Station as required
  • assist Stations with reporting and administration functions to meet compliance
  • be a champion of safety, health and wellbeing.

You will have sound interpersonal skills, be competent in the use of MS Office Suite and able to learn new systems quickly. Ideally, you will also have knowledge and practical experience of how volunteer services operate.

Due to the nature of the role, support to operational events and duty roster shifts may be a requirement. A vehicle is provided with this role; therefore, you must hold a full driver's licence.

Preference will be given to candidates that reside within the Auckland Region.

This is a full-time position, fixed-term until 28 February 2020.

Approximate starting salary $65,000 - $70,000.
