Job Description

  • Manager, HR Systems and Reporting
  • HR Reporting Analyst

Based in a division of the HR Group, the HRIS team provides innovative HRIS services and tools to support this organisation's leadership at both a strategic and operational level.

The team requires a strategic and customer service focus, applying HR knowledge to deliver innovative, efficient and future focused HRIS services to the organisation. 


Manager, HR Systems and Reporting

This role requires a manager equipped with the ability to develop strategy and drive significant HRIS enhancements within this iconic NZ organisation. 

Building partnerships with internal stakeholders will be vital to moving the organisation forward into the new world using more innovative, future focused technology.

The initial focus will be on overseeing the maintenance of current reporting systems as well as project planning for the complexities of transitioning to a new improved HRIS system. 

You will work in partnership with your reporting manager and other business units, to ensure the success of this significant medium-term project. 

You will be a strategic thinker and will be responsible for developing a high performing HRIS team.

To be effective in this position, you will have the following:

  • Experience working in partnership with business to develop HRIS strategy
  • Experience taking leadership in large HRIS project initiatives, and the ability to build and manage a high performing team
  • A broad knowledge of HRIS systems and tools and their ability to support business needs
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • A comprehensive understanding of HR and the strategic use of HR information in a variety of contexts


HR Reporting Analyst

This role provides HR reporting to the business using data extraction and analysis, and supports major activities such as remuneration reviews, people/position management and workforce planning.  

There is plenty of scope to add value to the business through identifying trends and forecasting future requirements, as well as supporting significant HRIS work programme initiatives.

At times there will be a requirement to support other aspects of HRIS administration including position and leave management, and payroll.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience with HRIS systems and advanced capability with reporting tools such as Pablo
  • A strong customer and business partnership focus
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful advice to support the business 
  • Excellent written capability with the ability to present complex ideas and information in a way that it can be easily understood
  • Sound understanding of key HR concepts and operational use of HR information
  • Advanced Excel skills and robust understanding of relational databases and strong SQL skills
