National Manager: Business Analysis & Reporting (Finance)

Permanent, Full-time

Remuneration range: $137,700 - $162,000 (midpoint)

We support frontline police which operate 24-hours a day in a complex environment. With nearly 12,000 staff, functioning from 371 community-based police stations, Police operate on land, sea and air, and respond to over 600,000 emergency calls every year.

With our current National Manager Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR), moving into another opportunity within Police we need someone to take over the reins.

 

The National Manager: BAR is a senior leadership role leading Finance in providing trusted financial advice which goes beyond the numbers.  The role is accountable for providing robust financial advice and insight into the performance of Police to enable Police to achieve

Our Business, and as a result of this lifting the financial capability and performance of Finance.

 

The following experience and attributes are essential to be successful in this role:

  • Proven success in leading, motivating and engaging teams with strong people management skills.
  • Proven experience in financial management in a medium to large public sector and/or relevant private sector experience.
  • Advanced strategic thinking ability, including demonstrable experience in applying commercial principles when developing business and financial management strategies to achieve effective organisational performance in large and complex organisations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex messages clearly, simply and concisely.

Special Requirement

  • A requirement for this role to hold accounting/finance accreditation from a recognised body and a relevant tertiary degree.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a Senior Manager's role, with significant experience in leading teams and all aspects of people management.

 

Remuneration range: $137,700 - $162,000 (midpoint)

The above remuneration is for full-time (40 hours per week) hours which will be pro-rated if the employee is engaged for less than 40 hours per week.

  • Successful applicant must reside in Wellington
