Job Description

  • Fixed-term position to cover parental leave, until June 2019
  • Gracefield, Lower Hutt location

Do you want to be part of a fast-paced team? Do you enjoy variety and a challenge? We're seeking a top-notch business coordination wizard to work alongside and provide support to our Gracefield Innovation Quarter (GIQ) planning team. You will provide seamless confidential support, assist in the operational effectiveness of the office and the wider business unit.

Your skill in prioritising and following up on issues and concerns addressed to the GIQ Planning Manager will be important in this role. You don't shy away from liaising with key stakeholders and senior management and relish the opportunity to coordinate multiple projects, ensuring they meet their milestones.

This is a diverse and busy role with no two days being the same. As well as providing full administrative support, you will help coordinate meetings, workshops and events, provide high level project related financial monitoring and reporting and, provide secretariat support to the Gracefield Development Governance Group This is a role which will enable to you to build relationships across the organisation and externally, providing plenty of variety on a day-to-day basis.

You will need to be able to be flexible, manage ever changing priorities, ask the right questions and have the confidence to make a decision. You'll be creative and innovative in finding solutions, comfortable with embracing technology, self-managing and will skilfully use your initiative. Your interpersonal skills will stand out and you'll be proficient across all Microsoft core products, with knowledge of SharePoint a bonus.

The following skills and experience are a must to thrive in this role:

  • Experience in a coordination/ administration role supporting key business initiatives
  • Previous experience providing project support is desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and reporting skills
  • Experience in organising events highly desirable
  • Ability to plan and organise effectively
