Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Test Analyst who loves test automation to join our Web team.  If you enjoy working in a highly collaborative, agile environment with a fun and friendly team then this could be the role for you!

If you want to make a difference to New Zealanders by building fun, useful and innovative products to help them make better career decisions, then working at the TEC is the place for you.

The strength of our team is our ability to deliver high quality product releases on regular release cycles. We pride ourselves on our excellent code quality and the automation of our testing to reduce the length of our manual testing cycles and regression testing effort.

The roles require someone with the following:

  • A customer centric, UX focused approach to testing
  • Experience working collaboratively in an agile development team
  • Experience testing responsive web solutions across multiple browsers, operating systems, devices and form factors
  • Experience analyzing and converting User Stories into detailed Acceptance Criteria appropriate for test automation
  • Experience triaging, prioritising, organising and sizing defects across multiple projects
  • Experience managing releases, merging and deploying code to development environments
  • Experience writing tests in cucumber using a syntax such as gherkin, jest or mocha
  • Experience using browser automation frameworks such as Selenium or Puppeteer
  • Experience coding automated tests in JavaScript.
