 What is the role?

Here at Stats NZ, we are looking for an experienced Training Leader to join our Auckland team. We're a small team looking to achieve a lot in the coming year.

The role will require developing, delivering and managing the training programme across our various survey collection teams as well as leading a small team. This role is a blended position requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong learning management system administration and technical ability and a solid background in instructional design and training development.

The teams we support work on the phones, through the mail, go door to door , or in the office - our learners' needs are fairly diverse.

Since our team is all over the country, travel is sometimes required.

  • Articulate 360 Suite – Storyline & Rise
  • Camtasia Video Editing
  • Photoshop
  • Totara Learning Management System - Moodle
  • Camcorders
  • Skype for Webinars
  • Salesforce Knowledgebase

 What will you bring?

Finding creative and functional solutions for engaging people and teams is important. The key competencies required in the role are:

  • People management and team development
  • Relationship management and stakeholder engagement
  • Planning and reporting on training
  • Managing competing organisational priorities
  • Online learning creation and management
  • Instructional design and content development
  • You have a high level of experience with learning management administration.
  • You have practical experience as a trainer or instructor working with adults.
  • You are comfortable with what the role is all about.
  • You also think that it's pretty great that we're all going to be changing lives together.

 You will also be able to demonstrate that:

  • You are confident coaching others with new tools and technology.
  • You have a high level of experience with learning management administration.
  • You have practical experience as a trainer or instructor working with adults.
