Intelligence Support Officer

Whangarei, Northland District

Permanent, Full-time

Remuneration range: $46,336.00 - $62,689.00

Northland District Police, based in Whangarei, has a vacancy for an Intelligence Support Officer.

 

Northland District Intelligence coordinates intelligence activities for the District, provides support to deployment, operations and investigations, as well as decision-making at the district leadership level.

 

The purpose of this role is to contribute to prevention of crime and road trauma and disruption of criminal activity by providing specialist support to the intelligence unit, including collection, collation, storage, retrieval and dissemination of information for intelligence purposes.  The role within our organisation is to deliver (or enable others to deliver) Our Business.

 

Skills - you will be able to:

  • Collect, analyse and disseminate information appropriately to assist decision makers.
  • Produce intelligence products to assist decision makers.
  • Use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to develop a high standard of reports/presentations
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of positive relationships (internal and external)
  • Research, collect and conduct preliminary analysis to identify and highlight any key emerging trends/issues/risks.
  • Provide ongoing support to your team; have a strong team focus.

 

Experience - you will have:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to develop a high standard of reports/presentations.
  • Experience conducting research and preliminary analysis.
  • Experience writing clear, succinct and useful documents.

Remuneration range: $46,336.00 - $62,689.00

The above remuneration range is for full-time (40 hours per week) hours. If the employee is engaged for less than 40 hours per week their total remuneration will be on pro-rata.
