Job Description


The Ministerial Services team is responsible for the management of Corrections' official correspondence. This team provides a crucial link between Corrections and the public/the Minister's office. The team ensures consistency and effectiveness of official correspondence, Official Information Act and Privacy Act requests across the business.

In the role of Ministerial Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management and tracking of Corrections official correspondence, in particular operating and maintaining the ministerial database. As the first to receive official correspondence, you will be required to use your critical thinking skills to determine the nature and importance of the contact for triaging accordingly. You will be responsible for recording and tracking correspondence using the ministerial database. Your ability to keep track of the team's workload is required as internal and external stakeholders will rely on you to provide updates on the status of correspondence.


To be successful in the role you will be:

  • organised
  • posses keyboard skills and experience in database management
  • oral and written communication skills
  • preferably an understanding of the processes of ministerial servicing and Government
