We want to continue our reputation for innovation and cutting-edge advice and we have an opportunity for a talented Manager Analytics & Insights to join our team.

We are looking for a Manager who is ready to use the depth and breadth of their experience to lead a team responsible for modelling to support tax and welfare system policy advice and the analysis of administrative data (StatsNZ's Integrated Data Infrastructure) to inform strategic policy work.

This is an opportunity to lead and develop a well-established, high-performing team. We are looking for you to drive continuous improvement and harness the power of quantitative analysis to transform policy.

Critically, you will fully understand the connection between rigorous quantitative analysis and high-quality policy advice and outcomes. You will be delivery-focused and customer centric. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the team delivers rigorous quantitative analysis that results in high-quality, effective and influential policy advice
  • Providing sound intellectual and people leadership, including development to lift capability
  • Enhancing organisational performance through cross-Treasury and cross-sector engagement
  • Strengthening relationships with government agencies and key stakeholders
