About us:

The KiwiBuild initiative is a key priority for the Government.  The programme provides the opportunity for a step-change in the housing and construction sector by increasing land and housing supply, investigating major greenfield and urban regeneration projects as well as exploring innovative ways to address market constraints. 

KiwiBuild has joined the new Ministry of Housing and Urban Development as one of the key units who will play a lead role in helping individuals, family and whānau have healthy, secure and affordable homes that meet their needs. We want to create thriving communities that connect to the places people live, work, learn and play.

About the role:

This is a new role reporting in to the General Manager Data, Analytics and Performance Story.  It's a great opportunity for a skilled data specialist to take the lead on designing and implementing comprehensive analysis and solutions for a range of stakeholders including Ministers, Agencies, Industry bodies and the New Zealand public. This information will help inform important decisions and increase understanding of regional and demographic conditions and trends as well as shaping the story critical to driving the outcomes for KiwiBuild.

Skills and Experience:

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Proven experience (at least 5 years plus) in data analysis and insight.
  • Advanced use of BI tools such as Tableau and excellent skills in SQL.
  • Strong understanding and work experience in the property market and property data and insights.
  • Experience in initiating, managing and implementing projects successfully and at pace.
  • Demonstrated experience as a problem solver and ability to think innovatively and outside the square.
  • Exceptional verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Active team player, organised, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Resilient and politically savvy!
  • Tertiary qualified in related studies or relevant experience.
