Job Description

The New Zealand Chiropractic Board is a responsible authority established under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (HPCA Act). Its purpose is to protect the health and safety of members of the public by providing mechanisms to ensure that health practitioners are fit and competent to practise. The Minister of Health appoints a variety of people to responsible authorities.

On behalf of Hon Dr David Clark, Minister of Health, we are currently seeking applications/nominations for one lay member.

Layperson applicants cannot be, or qualified to be, registered as a health practitioner.

For all applicants, it would also be beneficial if you have experience in finance, health sector or board/committee governance experience.

Applicants from across New Zealand are also welcome.

To nominate someone, or apply yourself, the following are required:

  • a declaration form for the relevant position, completed by you/the nominee (attached)

  • a covering letter, detailing your/the nominee's experience that is relevant to the New Zealand Chiropractic Board and why the position is of interest to you/them

  • a current CV.

Nominations/applications must be made using the Ministry's online Career centre and close 09/11/2018.
